If you had to sum up your life philosophy in one sentence, what would it be?

Live each day to the fullest.

Upon awakening, I need to send a petition to God – in other words, a prayer, to set the tone for the day. Before scrolling, before checking numbers, before going online, I need to check-in with my heart and give God an affirmation. Some recent affirmations of mine this week are here: “I am aging gracefully,” I am the person I desire to be today,” I am pausing before I get agitated,” “How important is it, really?” “Guide me towards what needs my immediate attention today.” “I ask you to be my employer today – I am your agent.” “Let me be your voice and guide me to follow your will for us.”
If I become doubtful or at a loss for about what to do for what I consider a pressing issue that I can’t let my mind detach from, I’ve learned the best response is to do nothing. I’ll wait and see what happens until the answer becomes clear. Sure enough, the person, place or thing shows up, and I get just what I need.
When I retire at night, I find what I put in my head before bed determines how well I sleep, and where I’ll go in my dreams. I have my favorite meditation book watch a YouTube video on one of my favorite sites – that is close to the task at hand for the next day. Answers come, if my bedroom space and my head space are in order.
